Alan J. Schwartz, DDS

Dr. Alan J. Schwartz earned his undergraduate degree at the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1980 and his dental degree (DDS) at the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1985. He furthered his clinical skills by completing a general practice residency at Peninsula General Hospital in Far Rockaway, NY. Regularly attending continuing education courses enables Dr. Schwartz to stay at the forefront of modern dentistry.
Combining superior skills, with state-of-the-art technology, Dr. Schwartz offers his patients the most sophisticated and advanced dentistry available today.
Dr. Schwartz has been practicing dentistry in Kew Gardens Hills, NY since 1989. Creating and maintaining his patients' optimal oral health, in his state of the art dental office, is his number one priority. Dr. Schwartz is a member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, Queens County Dental Society and Peninsula Hospital Dental Society.

April - Office Manager

April Schwartz has been married to Dr. Alan J. Schwartz since 1985. They met while undergraduate students at SUNY Binghamton. April began working part-time when their youngest son began school and is now the office manager. Being able to provide a warm and friendly atmosphere, educating patients on the latest dental techniques, and serving as the liaison between patients, insurance companies and outside financing companies are some of the responsibilities she most enjoys. "My goal is to create an environment in which our patients will feel comfortable and well cared for while receiving the best dentistry available today," says April.

Maria - Dental Assistant

Maria Prieto has been the practice’s dental assistant since 2002. She has over 30 years of experience in the dental assisting field. Maria graduated from the University of Havana in 1977 as a dental assistant, with a degree in Medical Science. She prides herself on helping patients relax and not be fearful when undergoing dental treatment. When she’s not at her job, Maria enjoys reading and spending time with her family and three dogs (Chester, Rocco and Bambi).

Yajaira - Dental Assistant (Oceanside)

Yajaira is the practice’s dental assistant since 2001. She graduated from the Concord Career Institute of Florida with a certification in dental assisting. Her experience and background gives her the ability to provide our patients with a comfortable and caring environment.

Lynne - Office Manager (Oceanside)

|
Lynne is a graduate of Queens College, School of Arts and Sciences. She has a bachelor’s degree in speech pathology and audiology. Lynne is also a New York State licensed teacher. She has over 20 years combined dental assisting and dental office administrative experience. Lynne lives on Long Island with her family and is thrilled to be welcomed into Dr. Schwartz’s practice.

Vanessa - Dental Hygienist (Oceanside)

Vanessa graduated from SUNY Farmingdale with a degree in dental hygiene in 2002. She attends continuing education courses to increase her knowledge of dental hygiene practices and the newest techniques. Vanessa always makes sure that she listens to the needs of her patients and is willing to take the extra steps to ensure her patients’ comfort during their visits.
